Welcome to my Obscure Anime Fic contest!
Note, this is a revised post from the ML, so if it sounds a bit off, I probably didn't
revise it enough... ^_^;; For info on how, and what you can submit, please see
the rules. Extra information on the contest can also be
(unwittingly) found there. Most of this was cooked up in the ML (feel free to join!), but I posted to page in
hopes that there will be many nominations for this contest - you just don't see much by
way of good anime crossovers these days.... particularly not the obscure ones. ^_^
(Yes, this is the theme this year - who knows if it'll change next year, depends on
the response.
Now, you may be asking (or you may not, but I'm gonna
tell you anyway...) "When is this contest going to end?" Well, I don't
have a definite date yet - the end of March was requested, and that is the current,
tentative date - if I get requests to push it back though, I may do so. Post your
feedback, I'm totally flexible on this.
There are only two categories just now; the crossovers, and non-crossovers (i.e.,
everything else).
Putting in alternate universe would be redundant, but suggestions for categories are
welcome. (I'm still kinda fond of my 'obscure pairing' idea, but no one seemed taken
by it, so... *shrugs*)
Yaoi, Yuri, and Het fiction is welcome, but please put warnings in your fics
headings, and body. If posting to the ML, you MUST also put in the heading a [Lemon] if
there is a lemon in your fic. (Note, if there are ANY relationships, you must notate them.
Yaoi and Yuri notifications are normal, but Hets, you have to do it too.)
Headings should have the category, title, and warning if needed, example:
[Humor] Your title Here
[Lemon]
Or:
[Drama] Your title Here [Lemon,Yaoi/Het]
On a side note: A crossover involving something other
than anime (movie, tv, book, etc.) is acceptable, but I hope to see mostly anime
crossover's here.
Also, the prizes! (Like I expect you to write for nothing!) You will receive a winning
banner (yet to be made - if anyone would care to do the artwork, I'd be more than happy to
accept it) for your category should you win in it, and the option to post your fic on the
webpage that will be built to go with this contest.
The overall winner (to be voted on after the other winners are all chosen) also gets
another banner as such, along with a box of pocky (I have to see what flavors are
available) if you trust me to send you food ^_^ (Sorry guys, I'd do more, but I'm broke.)
Also I can provide an anime shirt for the over-all winner, with the choice of several
designs. (I'm particularly fond of my new Tsuzuki picture...)
